Summit Storyteller Applications
Storyteller applications are due by February 27th at 5 p.m. ET.
During the OneGW Summit: Community, Culture & Inclusion, the 10th year of our university Summit, we will amplify the stories of members of the GW community. The power of storytelling invites us to learn more, connect at a deeper level, dismiss assumptions, and grow our capacity to empathize. When we listen deeply, actively engage, and lead with an open mind, we have the power to relate and connect across differences - we have the power to build our GW community.
We invite all members of the GW community to apply to serve as a Storyteller during the Summit. As a Storyteller, you will have 3-4 minutes to share your story with all attendees at the Summit during an allocated time. All stories should be personal, connect with the purpose of the Summit, and specifically highlight community, culture, and inclusion. We seek GW community members from all backgrounds, viewpoints, and lived experiences. In each story, we want storytellers to share their vision for community and display an unwavering commitment to inclusion.
Storytellers will be selected by a university-wide committee and notified in advance of the Summit. Selected Storytellers will have their university background checked for current conduct or personnel related matters to ensure their ability to participate as a Storyteller. Storytellers will be required to submit their final story in writing to the Summit planning team one week before the Summit. Storyteller applications are due February 27, 2026 via the application form.
