Suzanne Bethel

Suzanne Bethel has built her career at The Art League across roles including School Registrar, Curriculum Director, School Director, Deputy Director of Operations, and Executive Director for Operations before being appointed Executive Director. In that role she directs the day-to-day management of The Art League, overseeing all operations, programming, development, and community programs, including the School and Gallery with their educational, membership, and exhibition programming. She has led the establishment of a consolidated school facility to house two- and three-dimensional art programs in a shared environment and continues to foster creative partnerships within Alexandria and beyond. She brings to this panel deep knowledge of arts education, community engagement, and the practical realities of sustaining a working arts organization.
