Chanté Clarkson is the Executive Director for Academic Success and Summer Programs at The George Washington University in Washington, DC, where she leads strategic initiatives that advance student persistence and achievement. With more than 23 years of experience in higher education, she has dedicated her career to cultivating transformative experiences that promote access, belonging, and long-term success. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Southern University and her Master of Science in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from Emporia State University. Chante is on track to complete her doctorate in Human and Organizational Learning in August, 2026. Chanté is a passionate advocate for student development, committed to helping students discover their unique talents, think creatively, and pursue their goals with confidence. Her approach centers on building supportive communities where strong relationships and shared achievement foster resilience and collective growth. She is particularly focused on addressing the mental health and policy challenges facing today’s students and strengthening front-facing support systems across campus. Above all, she finds the greatest fulfillment in witnessing students overcome barriers, grow into their authentic selves, and emerge as leaders prepared to serve their communities.
