Michael Akinwumi

Dr. Michael Akinwumi is an instructor at the George Washington University School of Business. As an Adjunct Professor, he teaches courses in Responsible Machine Learning with a focus on equipping students with practical knowledge for building safety controls into AI system. As the Head of the Responsible AI Lab at the National Fair Housing Alliance, he leads initiatives in AI innovation, public trust, policy, and governance. His mission is to build safety controls into AI systems through mathematical rigors, unbounded policies and invariant laws spanning national and regional boundaries. His work examines how AI systems can be held accountable to the people and communities they affect.
