Hannah Ajluni

Hannah Ajluni is a second year graduate student in the PhD in Education program at George Washington University Graduate School of Education and Human Development. Her concentration is Education and Inequality with a focus on the safety of queer students in K-12 public schools. Hannah's experience as a middle and high school history teacher serves as her motivation to empower educators to create safer environments for the queer students in their classrooms. Her research centers on the strategies teachers can feasibly implement in their own classrooms, despite an ongoing push for anti-LGBTQ+ legislation in education on the state and local level. Upon completion of her PhD Hannah plans to work with educators across the country to provide training that will ultimately create safer classroom environments for queer students.
